TEAM BUILDING AT ST MARY'S YOUTH CLUB
In September, pupils from the school participated in a range of group work activities facilitated by staff at St Mary’s Youth Centre. The aim of these sessions was to promote teamwork skills and cooperative working amongst pupils in each year group. They took part in a number of team activities that focused upon both physical and mental problem solving tasks, in a fun and supportive environment. Pupils also took part in healthy eating workshops with blind food tasting which also proved to be very popular. Nick McConvey, Youth Worker in Charge at St Mary’s YC commented “This was a fantastic way for pupils to interact positively with each other in a way that was new to most, and which was both challenging and fun. From feedback received from pupils we are delighted with its success and look forward to further supporting pupils with their learning this coming year.
