Supporting Mental Health
It's hard to believe that we are approaching the end of this academic year and with this in mind, we are busy preparing for our End of Year Show. Pupils were reminded at our whole school assembly this morning, that if they wish to take part in the show, that they should to speak to Mrs. Crawford ASAP.
As this week is Mental Health Awareness Week, Mrs. Leathem also spoke about the importance of looking after our Mental Health. Pupils were reminded of the importance of having... support networks and that in school, pupils can seek support through our Safe-Guarding Team, if needed. The school Safe-Guarding team are: Mrs. Leathem, Mrs. Swain, Mr. Lynch and Mr. Rath.
Also, given this glorious weather with high temperatures that are forecast to last, pupils were reminded of the importance of sun-cream and that there is no need for hoodies to be worn to school. If a pupil chooses to wear a hoodie when it is cooler in the morning, it should be the SJBC uniform hoodie.
IN SUPPORT OF MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK
Often overlooked and/or under-valued, mental health is just as important as physical health but what does mental health mean exactly?
