Purple for Polio day at St John the Baptist's. This charity has already helped to eradicate polio deaths among children almost everywhere in the world except in 3 countries, Afghanistan, Iran and Nigeria. All pupils wore something purple for the day to help raise money for the charity and many were involved in planting 1000 purple crocuses to promote the eradication of polio. Attending the planting ceremony were members of the Rotary Club and the Deputy Lord Mayor.
