We were joined by our neighbourhood police officers from the PSNI at assembly. Pupils were informed about road safety and in particular, how to stay safe on bicycles. Pupils were encouraged to wear helmets and reflectors and to ensure that they wear clothing so that they are easily seen by other road users.
We would encourage all parents to check their children’s bicycles as the darker nights draw in. Please encourage the use of helmets, ensure that front and back brakes and lights are working and that children use the bicycle lanes where possible. #staysafe
