Today we had a very welcome visit from representatives from the Portuguese Consulate. Ambassador Duarte Bué Alves, José Marques, and honorary consulate member, Daniel Gouveia. A group of our Year 12 pupils, Luana Gomes Silva, Dayane Pina Tavares, Bianca Costa Pinto, and Beyoncé Lopes greeted our guests and explained the processes behind their wonderful GCSE art work. Our guests donated a startling array of Portuguese books for our school library and were very impressed with the talent on show at SJBC. They have promised a return visit in the coming months.
