Knockadoon Music and Liturgy Course is runs every year for a week in mid-August. This year it celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Each day begins with morning prayer after breakfast, followed by sessions where participants can meet new people and learn new music and techniques through singing or joining the band, and all music can be taken home for schools and communities to use. Sessions continue after lunch and then there is free time. There are tutorials every day which offer the chance to learn an instrument. Following dinner and evening prayer, there is entertainment and bonding activities tailored to the young people who are in attendance.
The week ends with a concert, that all families and friends are invited to, so participants can showcase what they have learned.
