Biometric System

The new canteen biometric system is installed and should be operational for lunchtime tomorrow.

Important points about the biometric system:

- Pupils will now use their fingerprints to pay for all meals in the canteen. Cash will no longer be accepted.

- Biometric machines are available in the main foyer, student foyer and the canteen. Pupils should use the machines to load money onto their account. Cash should not be brought to the office as office staff do not have access to the canteen system.

- Any pupils who avail of Free School Meals will have their FSM allocation added automatically each day. If purchasing items above the £2.80, pupils need to make sure that they have added enough funds to their account.

- Pupils can go up to a maximum of £1 in arrears if they do not have enough money for lunch on any given day, but they must pay this back the next day.

- If pupils forget their dinner money, they must let their form teacher know that morning that they do not have access to a lunch.
