Introduction
The uniform policy at St John the Baptist's College aims to promote a sense of belonging and pride among students while ensuring practicality and affordability for parents. This policy outlines the required uniform items for both boys and girls, including PE kits, and provides information on where these items can be purchased.

We appeal to parents and guardians to cooperate with the school regarding the wearing of the proper school uniform. Our uniform is something that we are extremely proud of. We receive many compliments from members of the public regarding how well the students look in their school uniforms.
We wish to draw particular attention to footwear. The school uniform guidelines state that school shoes must be black leather shoes. No branded cloth, suede or leather trainers are permitted.
We appreciate how expensive the trainers are, and are appealing to parents/guardians not to give in to requests from children who say the trainers are permitted – they are not. By all means buy trainers for PE. But only black leather shoes are permitted for daily wear within the College.
Some samples of footwear styles that are not permitted are below, but all other similar styles are also forbidden.
We also ask that parents not purchase expensive branded leisure wear, such as North Face Adidas Nike etc, for students to wear into school. These items are expensive to replace if lost in school.
The SJBC uniform includes a school v-neck jumper, which is a voluntary purchase. The jumper can be worn under the school blazer on colder mornings. The school quarter zip can also be worn under the school blazer on colder mornings.
No other quarter zips or hoodies are permitted. Baseball caps are not permitted to be worn either.
Students not abiding with these requests will be asked to remove non-uniform items of clothing and the items will be available for collection from the General Office after 3.20pm. Facial and tongue jewellery is forbidden.
