Important Safety Notice

24th Apr 2018

All Parents and Visitors to the College are no longer allowed to drive through the gates.

We have very real safety concerns following a number of incidents whereby some of our pupils could have been very seriously injured by vehicles turning within the school grounds.

From today on parents/visitors should come up the drive and turn right into the upper part of the car-park (the gate has been opened this morning to accommodate this). Vehicles will then exit the car-park again at the lower end, thus creating a one-way system. A pedestrian gate has been opened at the top of the car park for students and/or visitors to walk through from the set-down point. It is vital that all drivers respect this notice in the interest of the health and safety of our children.

We also caution care at the main entrance beside the road as there is traffic coming from multiple directions here, it is coming from the Nursing home, the school car-park as well as from the road itself. We are trying to get this addressed. We are proposing that a second entrance point from the road be created to allow a complete one-way system throughout the site but until this is actioned we would advise caution to all motorists.
